On an autumn evening in Minneapolis, the life of 18-year-old Oliver Perkins III, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On October 7, 2020, Perkins was inside a convenience store in the 1800 block of S. Nicollet Avenue, just a few blocks from his supportive housing apartment.
