Mohamed Hussein Hassan, a 20-year-old from Columbia Heights, was fatally shot in downtown Minneapolis on July 17, 2021. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Sixth Street North and Hennepin Avenue. According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Hassan sustained a gunshot wound to the torso and was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 3:20 a.m. The shooting was the result of a dispute between Hassan and another individual, which ...
