On February 4, 2021, the body of 18-year-old Kaylah Blackmon was discovered inside her gray 2005 Ford Escape in the parking lot of an apartment complex located in the 500 block of West 27th Street South in Wichita, Kansas. This discovery came just two days after her 17-year-old boyfriend, Michael Beasley, was found dead near an abandoned church in the 1000 block of North Ash. Beasley was discovered by a passerby who called 911, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
