On a Sunday evening in September 2014, Deandria Monique Conyers, a 27-year-old Black female, was found shot inside her apartment in the 2000 block of Ridgecrest Court, Southeast, Washington, D.C.. Her grandfather discovered her just before 9 p.m. on September 14. At the time of the incident, two of her four children were in the home but were unharmed.
