In the early morning hours of Sunday, April 17, 2016, the life of 35-year-old Jayvon Marshman was cut short by gunfire in Washington, D.C. The incident unfolded at approximately 3:11 a.m. in the 2500 block of 17th Street, Northwest, a detail later also reported as the 2500 block of Mozart Place, Northwest. Responding to the sound of gunshots, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department discovered Marshman, a resident of Southeast, D.C., suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
