Jasmine Lashai Light, a 23-year-old woman from Southwest Washington, D.C., was tragically killed on January 17, 2018, in a quadruple shooting that occurred in the 2000 block of 16th Street SE. The incident took place as she stood outside a corner store in Southeast D.C. Light, who had aspirations of becoming a chef and was attending culinary school, was an unintended victim of the shooting.
