In the summer of 2018, a dispute between roommates in a Southeast Washington, D.C. townhouse culminated in the tragic death of 24-year-old Keon Wallace. A Black male, Wallace was found on June 25, 2018, inside the residence on Skyland Place, SE, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The events leading to his death began with an argument with his roommate, Kenneil Cole, who was also 24 years old at the time.
