Death by Force

On June 30, 2019, at approximately 6:50 PM, 18-year-old J’Vontay Brown was fatally shot in the 3400 block of 13th Place SE, Washington, DC. Responding to reports of gunfire, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) arrived at the scene to find Brown suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, who transported him to a nearby hospital, Brown was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
