In the winter of 2020, a young man's life was abruptly cut short in a daylight shooting in Southeast Washington, D.C. On the afternoon of December 21st, at approximately 2:32 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle stopped in the intersection of 51st Street and Bass Place. Inside, they discovered 25-year-old Tyree Brox, a Black male from Suitland, Maryland, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of D.C.
