In the early hours of April 18, 2021, Ronald McKnight, a 44-year-old Black male from Northwest, Washington, D.C., was found deceased in the bathroom of a hostel located on the 1600 block of 7th Street, NW. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call about an unconscious person at approximately 1:31 a.m. and discovered McKnight with gunshot wounds. Emergency services found no signs of life, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
