In the summer of 2021, the life of 18-year-old Talaya Campbell was tragically cut short in a residence located on the 500 block of Irving Street, Northwest in Washington, D.C. On the afternoon of Friday, August 13th, police were called to the scene following a report of a shooting. Inside, they discovered Ms. Campbell suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services responded but found that she showed no signs of life and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
