On a warm evening in Las Vegas, Nevada, the life of 41-year-old Paul Sitt was tragically cut short. On July 8, 2008, the man, who was a former lead singer of a 1990s heavy metal band, was working as a clerk at the Liquor Outlet on North Nellis Boulevard. Having moved to Las Vegas for a quieter life, he was discovered by police around 9:20 p.m. with a single gunshot wound to the head.
The incident that led to Sitt's death was a robbery.
Surveillance footage from the store captured two male suspects entering the establishment. Both men were described as being in their twenties, standing between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot tall, and weighing approximately 160 to 180 pounds. They were both wearing oversized white shirts and dark pants. One of the suspects wore a dark baseball cap with a "C" emblem, similar to a Chicago Bears logo, while the other wore a cap with a "D," resembling that of the Detroit Tigers.
An undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the cash register during the robbery. Following the incident, the two suspects fled the scene. Despite the existence of surveillance footage and ongoing investigations by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the individuals responsible for Paul Sitt's murder were never identified and no arrests were made in connection with the case. The case remains unsolved, leaving a void in the lives of those who knew the former musician turned store clerk.
