In what should have been a return to normalcy, Ian Michael Deutch, a 27-year-old Caucasian male, found his life cut tragically short on April 26, 2010, in Pahrump, Nevada. A decorated staff sergeant in the Army National Guard, Deutch had only recently returned in March from a deployment in Afghanistan. He was just on his second day back on duty with the Nye County Sheriff's Office, where he had served for six years, when he responded to a desperate 911 call.
