On the afternoon of July 24th, 61-year-old Paulette King, a woman suffering from multiple health issues, was found in a spare bedroom with a fatal gunshot wound. initial call to 911 came from a man who identified himself as her husband, 64-year-old Dennis Kopp. In a chilling confession to the dispatcher, he stated that he had just shot his wife. When police arrived at their home, located between Arroyo Grande Boulevard and Valle Verde Drive, they found Kopp waiting for them and he was taken into custody without incident. Inside, they located the handgun believed to have been used in the shooting.
