On the Fourth of July in 2023, a day typically marked by celebration, a tragedy unfolded in a Henderson, Nevada home. Susan Tobey, a 79-year-old woman, was found by police and fire department personnel responding to a report of a possible slaying at a residence on Las Palmas Entrada Avenue. She was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
