On August 3, 2017, a homicide investigation was initiated following the fatal shooting of Trayvone Gentre Crocket, a 20-year-old resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident occurred at an apartment complex in the east part of the city. Crocket's death was ruled a homicide, with the official cause being multiple gunshot wounds, as confirmed by the Clark County Coroner's office.
