Erick Steven Silva, a 21-year-old Hispanic male, was working as a security guard at the Route 91 Harvest festival in Las Vegas on October 1, 2017, a night that would end in tragedy. Stationed in front of the stage, he was in the midst of a crowd of thousands enjoying the final night of the country music event when the sound of gunfire shattered the festive atmosphere. As chaos and panic erupted, Silva, an employee of Contemporary Services Corporation, acted with selfless heroism.
