A junior at Damonte Ranch High School, AJ was known for his friendly and outgoing nature, his quick wit, and an easy laugh that resonated with those who knew him. He was a talented trumpet player, actively involved in both the marching and jazz bands at his school, and enjoyed spending his time playing Dungeons and Dragons with his younger brother
and their circle of friends.
The devastating event that cut his life short was discovered when police responded to a welfare check at the family's home on Canyon Country Court. Inside, they found AJ, his 16-year-old brother Michael Patrick "Mikey" Huber, his 50-year-old father Adam P. Huber, and his 53-year-old mother Joan M. Huber, all deceased from gunshot wounds. The discovery sent shockwaves through their peaceful neighborhood and the Damonte Ranch High School community, where both teenage boys were students.
