In the early morning hours of May 22, 2020, the lifeless body of 34-year-old Michael Roach was discovered. He was a White/Caucasian male. The Reno Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at approximately 12:30 a.m. in a homeless camp situated to the east of Aces Stadium. Upon their arrival, officers found Roach, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
The investigation into the death was quickly taken over by the Robbery Homicide Unit of the Reno Police Department.
Authorities began the difficult task of piecing together the events that led to the shooting. In an effort to generate leads, the police reached out to the public for assistance in identifying any potential suspects involved in the homicide.
To encourage individuals with information to come forward, Secret Witness announced a reward of $2,500. The reward was offered for any information that would lead to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for Michael Roach's death. The investigation into his murder is ongoing as law enforcement continues to seek answers and justice for the victim.
