In the late morning of November 12, 2020, Douglas Morrin, a 77-year-old man, was in the parking lot of a Wells Fargo bank in south Reno, Nevada. What should have been a routine errand turned tragic when he was shot in what authorities believe was an attempted robbery. The incident, which occurred around 10:28 a.m. on Neil Road, left Mr. Morrin with a critical gunshot wound. Emergency services were called to the scene, and he was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and passed away later that day. The male victim's sudden and violent death sent ripples of shock and sorrow through the Reno community, with friends and acquaintances remembering him fondly.
