On June 10, 2021, a tragic incident occurred in Dayton, Nevada, involving the death of 76-year-old Johnny Barnett. The incident took place in the early morning hours when Lyon County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the Maverik convenience store in Dayton following reports of shots fired.
