In the spring of 1973, a shooting shattered the peace of the Baker neighborhood in Denver. On the evening of May 18th, police were called to a residence near the intersection of West 4th Avenue and Bannock Street. There, they found the body of 61-year-old William Lucero, a Hispanic male who lived in the area. He had been fatally shot.
