Max Leroy Duran, age 34, white male, was found in the predawn hours of December 8, 1978, lying on the pavement near the intersection of West 32nd Avenue and Quivas Street in Denver. Responding officers from the Denver Police Department discovered that he had been shot to death at that spot and time. Despite the immediacy of the scene and the discovery of his body, the investigation was unable to identify any suspects or lead to arrests. Investigators cataloged his case under file number 78-48211
