On the morning of December 8, 1978, the Denver Police Department received a call to investigate a man lying in the street near the intersection of West 32nd Avenue and Quivas Street in Denver, Colorado. Upon arrival, officers found the body of 34-year-old Max Leroy Duran. An initial examination revealed that Duran had been shot to death.
