In the late summer of 1987, a violent incident in Denver led to the untimely death of 30-year-old Daniel Archuletta. On the evening of August 17th, officers from the Denver Police Department were dispatched to the vicinity of West 13th Avenue and Lipan Street following reports of a disturbance. Upon their arrival, they discovered two individuals with injuries. One of them, Daniel Archuletta, a Hispanic male, had sustained a serious gunshot wound.
