On a warm summer evening in Denver, Colorado, the life of 34-year-old Joshua Medina was tragically cut short. On July 23, 2008, Medina, a male also known by the nickname 'Sunny-Boy,' was walking with a companion in a residential neighborhood near West Colfax Avenue and Osceola Street. The late evening stroll took a fatal turn when they were confronted by another couple.
An altercation broke out between the two pairs, escalating quickly and violently.
In the course of the dispute, an unknown suspect produced a gun and shot Medina. Emergency services were called, and he was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of his critical injuries.
Despite the efforts of medical staff, Joshua Medina succumbed to his injuries and passed away on July 24, 2008. The Denver Police Department opened a homicide investigation into his death. However, the case grew cold over the years, and as of now, the individuals responsible for his murder have not been identified, and no arrests have been made.
