On July 14, 1993, the body of 43-year-old John Kaesik, a white male, was discovered off an embankment along Highway 103, approximately 7.7 miles south of Idaho Springs in Clear Creek County, Colorado. An investigation determined that he had been fatally shot in the head, and his death was classified as a homicide.
