In the winter of 1997, the quiet of Gilson Gulch, a remote area north of Idaho Springs in Clear Creek County, Colorado, was broken by a grim discovery. On the morning of February 19th, three men hunting for mountain lions stumbled upon human remains. The discovery, made at approximately 11:30 a.m. about four-tenths of a mile up the gulch, would unearth a mystery that has lingered for decades.
