Death by Force

On December 12, 2014, Tyrece L. Stornes, a 27-year-old from Chicago, was killed in a drive-by shooting on the South Side of the city. The incident occurred in the 10400 block of South State Street when someone fired shots from a passing vehicle, striking Stornes while he was outside his home. The shooting was one of several violent incidents in Chicago that weekend, as gun violence continued to plague the city, particularly in areas affected by high crime rates and gang activities.
