In the crisp autumn air of an October evening in Aurora, Colorado, a life was tragically cut short in the mundane setting of a Walmart parking lot. Robert Goldsberry, a 60-year-old male, found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time on October 27, 2014. The events of that night would leave a permanent scar on the community and abruptly end a chapter of a man's life. What began as an ordinary evening errand spiraled into a violent encounter that concluded with fatal gunshots.
