On November 19, 2016, 44-year-old Philip Todd Peny was found deceased in Lakewood, Colorado. Residents near West 9th Avenue and Allison Street reported hearing multiple gunshots around 7 p.m. Upon arrival, police discovered a vehicle that had crashed through a home's front fence, with Peny inside, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
