On a summer evening in 2017, a 26-year-old woman, Lydia Coronado, was fatally shot in southwest Denver. The incident, which also left a male companion critically injured, occurred on July 16 near Huston Lake Park. Coronado, a mother of two boys, was in a car with the other victim at the time of the shooting.
