On April 26, 2019, Willie Lee Carr, a 58-year-old resident of the Lakewood area in Colorado, was tragically lost to gun violence. The incident occurred in the early morning hours when the Lakewood Police Department received reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Carr deceased in the bedroom of his home. An autopsy later revealed that Carr had suffered gunshot wounds to his right forearm and chest, as well as injuries to the top and back of his head.
