In the winter of 2019, a routine patrol took a grim turn for an Adams County deputy. On the afternoon of December 23rd, near the intersection of 136th Avenue and Franklin Street, the deputy witnessed a peculiar scene: a man pulling another individual from the back seat of a full-size pickup truck.
