In the bright morning light of August 4, 2021, the life of 18-year-old Julian Richard Evangelista-Short, a White male, was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. The fatal encounter occurred just before 10 a.m. at the corner of West 9th Avenue and North Yates Street in Denver.
