In the summer of 1995, a young man's life was cut tragically short on the streets of Denver, Colorado. Anthony Luenkenga, an 18-year-old Hispanic male, became the victim of a fatal encounter on July 30th of that year. The events of that day unfolded into a homicide investigation that has since gone cold, leaving a family without answers and a case without resolution.
The incident that led to Luenkenga's death began with a traffic altercation. What started as a dispute between motorists escalated with shocking suddenness to a violent and irreversible act. Officers were called to the scene at West 25th Avenue and Grove Street following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Luenkenga suffering from a gunshot wound.
