In the early morning hours of December 31, 2017, the life of 35-year-old Junior Izaguirre Gamez was tragically cut short in Denver, Colorado. Gamez, a male, was leaving Dandy Dan's club, located in the 200 block of South Federal Boulevard, with his friends when he was fatally shot in the parking lot. The incident prompted a swift response from law enforcement.
Shortly after the shooting, authorities apprehended a suspect in connection with the homicide.
Jared Chavez, 25 years old at the time, was arrested and subsequently faced formal charges for his alleged involvement in the death of Gamez. Prosecutors moved forward with one count of first-degree murder against Chavez, alleging that he was the individual who shot and killed Gamez.
