In the quiet community of Fountain, Colorado, the life of 22-year-old Anthony Moore, a Caucasian male, was tragically cut short in the spring of 2022. On April 21st of that year, his body was discovered abandoned on the side of the road in the 20000 block of Longhorn Point in the Hanover area, a discovery that marked the beginning of a multi-agency homicide investigation. The young man had been a victim of gun violence, a fact that sent ripples of concern through the southern El Paso County region.
The investigation into Moore's death soon revealed it was not an isolated incident, but rather one piece of a grim puzzle involving multiple homicides. Law enforcement's diligent work led them to a single suspect, Carlos Ulises Diaz, who was apprehended by the Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force in Pueblo on May 19, 2022.
