On July 5, 2018, Airman 1st Class Marcus Jimenez, a 23-year-old from Olton, Texas, suffered a fatal gunshot wound in an incident that occurred at a residence in Clovis, New Mexico. The incident involved Jimenez and another airman who were reportedly playing with a firearm while drinking alcohol.

According to the Ninth Judicial District Attorney's Office, the circumstances surrounding Jimenez's death were under investigation. It was stated that the airmen had been engaging in reckless beha ...
