In the early hours of May 4, 2019, a promising life was tragically cut short in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jackson Weller, a 23-year-old male, was fatally shot outside a nightclub in the Nob Hill area. A student and a right-handed pitcher for the University of New Mexico's baseball team, Weller was originally from Keller, Texas. Although he was not on the active roster at the time due to an injury, he remained a part of the team and had aspirations of returning to the mound.
