On June 21, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Las Cruces, New Mexico, resulting in the death of 29-year-old Johnny Burnside Jr. The event unfolded on the 2300 block of Lester Avenue around 3:20 p.m. when a shooting took place, claiming Burnside's life and leaving another man injured with a gunshot wound.
