On June 23, 2020, 31-year-old Johnny Herron Fajardo Jr., originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, was found shot to death near Barelas and Cromwell in southwest Albuquerque. The Albuquerque Police Department responded to the scene around 4:15 p.m.
Johnny was a 2004 graduate of Rio Grande High School and had relocated to Everett, Washington. He was an aspiring barber, preparing to receive his license from Paroba College of Esthetics and Barbering.
Known for his culinary skills, he worked at Famous Dave's Bar-B-Q restaurant. He is survived by his parents, Johnny Fajardo Sr. and Maxine Vega, his children Xavier, Isaiah Armijo, Alanna, and Alexander, as well as several siblings and extended family members.
As of now, there have been no reports of arrests or identification of suspects related to Johnny Fajardo Jr.'s death. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released further details regarding potential leads or motives.
