Death by Force

Elbert Farris, aged 25, was fatally shot on July 19, 2015, in the East Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago. The shooting took place late in the evening, around 10 p.m., on the 500 block of North Avers Avenue. Officers responded to reports of gunfire and found Farris lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Farris succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
