On July 31, 2024, at approximately 12:02 a.m., authorities responded to a shooting incident in Burke, Texas, near Diboll. Upon arrival, they discovered 31-year-old Hannah Griffin and 39-year-old Morgan McRae with gunshot wounds. McRae was pronounced dead at the scene, while Griffin was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
