On a late November day in 1993, the life of a young Black / African American man named Carlos Angelo was tragically cut short. On November 26 of that year, Boston Police were called to Johnston Road in the Mattapan neighborhood to investigate a shooting. There they found 20-year-old Carlos Angelo, who had been shot and was pronounced deceased.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later determined that Angelo's death was a homicide.
Despite the official ruling, the case has remained unsolved for decades. Information regarding any potential suspects or arrests in connection with the shooting has not been made public. The Boston Police Department continues to list the death of Carlos Angelo as an unsolved homicide from 1993.
