In the winter of 2015, the life of 30-year-old Hispanic female Yahaira Hernandez was tragically cut short. On the morning of January 5th, Hernandez was discovered in a running SUV in the Forest Park neighborhood of Springfield, Massachusetts. She had been fatally shot in what authorities have described as an act of domestic violence.
