In the late hours of an autumn evening in Boston, the life of Desmond Joseph, a 30-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On October 22, 2015, while standing with his girlfriend outside the Charlesview residences on Telford Street in Brighton, Joseph was fatally shot. He was reportedly loading a baby stroller into the back of a car when the assailant opened fire, striking him in the head, chest, and back.
