On the evening of May 27, 2013, a young African-American man named Lloyd Powell Jr., aged 23, was fatally shot in Boston. The incident occurred at 125 Elm Hill Avenue, where Boston Police Department officers responded to a report of a person shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered Powell, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. His death was later officially ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
