On December 1, 2017, Natalino Gomes, a 31-year-old man, was fatally shot while closing Peguero's Market, a convenience store located at 218 Bowdoin Street in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The incident occurred at approximately 11:45 PM, marking a tragic end to Gomes' life as he was performing his duties at the store where he worked from 6 PM to midnight.
