On a cold December evening in Brockton, Massachusetts, the life of 26-year-old Marshawn Potts, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. On December 13, 2019, at approximately 9:00 PM, police responded to reports of a shooting at 10 Shaw Road. Upon arrival, they discovered Potts in the driveway, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators quickly determined that the shooting was not a random act of violence.
