On a Wednesday afternoon, May 28, 1986, the life of 34-year-old Daniel L. McDaniel, a White male, was tragically cut short in Portland, Oregon. At approximately 2:30 p.m., a passing motorist noticed a person lying on the sidewalk in the 600 block of NW 14th Avenue. Seeing blood near the body, the driver quickly sought help from a nearby business to call 911. Emergency services arrived at the scene to find McDaniel deceased.
